Surah Ar-Rahman is the 55th chapter of the Qur’an, revealed in Makkah (with some opinions of partial Madani). It is often called “The Beauty of the Qur’an” because of its rhythm, repetition, and deep spiritual impact.
Its central theme is Allah’s mercy (Rahmah) and human accountability.
1
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ
👉 The Most Merciful
Allah introduces Himself with mercy.
2
عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
👉 He taught the Qur’an — guidance is a mercy.
3
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
👉 He created human beings.
4
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ
👉 He taught humans how to speak and express.
5
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
👉 Sun and moon move with perfect order.
6
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
👉 Stars and trees obey Allah.
7
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ
👉 Allah set balance in the universe.
8
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ
👉 Do not cross limits or be unjust.
9
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ
👉 Maintain justice and fairness.
10
وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
👉 Earth is made for all creatures.
11–12
فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ… وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ
👉 Fruits, crops, and food are blessings.
13
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
👉 Which blessing of your Lord will you deny?
14
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ
👉 Humans created from clay.
15
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
👉 Jinn created from fire.
16
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
17
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
👉 Allah controls all directions.
18
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
19–20
مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ…
👉 Two seas meet but do not mix.
21
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
22
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ
👉 Pearls and coral come from seas.
23
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
24
وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ
👉 Ships sail by Allah’s laws.
25
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
26
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
👉 Everything will perish.
27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ
👉 Only Allah remains forever.
28
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
29
كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ
👉 Allah is always managing creation.
30
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
31
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
👉 Humans and jinn will be judged.
33
لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ
👉 You cannot escape Allah’s authority.
35
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ
👉 Warning of punishment.
46
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
👉 Two gardens for those who feared Allah.
60
هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ
👉 Good is rewarded with good.
62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
👉 Two more gardens (extra mercy).
77
تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ
👉 Blessed is Allah’s Name.
78
ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ
👉 Lord of Majesty and Honor.
Simple Final Message
Allah gives blessings, reminds repeatedly, warns fairly, and rewards generously —
so denial has no excuse.
