God is essential in our lives. Allah always cares for us. Like our moms and dads, Allah loves us so much. But did you know how our parents treat us and how it can affect our thoughts about Allah? Let’s talk about it.
1. The Loving Lord and Parenting
Parents are like teachers who show us how to live. They teach us about love, kindness, and how to be good. When parents are kind and loving, we feel happy and safe. We learn that love is essential. This is like Allah. The Quran says,
“My mercy embraces all things” (7:156).
This means God’s love is everywhere, like a parent’s love.
2. Guidance of God: Like a Parent’s Rules
Like parents who set rules to keep us safe and happy, Allah gives us rules, too. These rules are called commandments or teachings. For example, parents tell us not to touch hot things because it can hurt us. Allah tells us to be kind to others and not to lie because it’s good for us and others. The Quran says,
“Establish prayer, give zakah, and obey the Messenger—that you may receive mercy” (24:56).
This means we become better when we obey God’s rules and receive blessings.
3. Finding Peace in the Love of God
We turn to our parents for comfort when we are sad or scared. They hugged us and told us everything would be okay. Allah does the same thing. In the Quran, it says,
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” (13:28).
This means that when we remember God’s love and kindness, we are peaceful, like with our parents.
4. Trusting God: Like Trusting Our Parents
Sometimes, we need to understand why things happen. Why do we get sick or lose a toy? But we trust our parents to care for us and improve things. It’s the same with Allah. In the Quran, it says,
“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not” (2:216).
This means that even if we don’t understand why something happens, we trust God knows what’s best for us.

5. Being Grateful for God’s Blessings
Our parents work hard to give us good things like food, toys, and a home. We feel happy and thankful for these blessings. God gives us blessings, too, like the air we breathe, the sun that shines, and the food we eat. In the Quran, it says,
“And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favour]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe'” (14:7).
This means that when we’re grateful for what Allah gives us, He gives us even more.
6. Conclusion: Embracing the Love of the Loving Lord
Our parents teach us about love, kindness, and trust. They show us how to be good people. In the same way, God loves us, guides us, and takes care of us. Happy, safe, and loved when of Allah as a loving parent. Let’s always remember the love of the Loving Lord in our hearts.
In conclusion, how our parents treat us shapes our thoughts about God. When our parents are kind and loving, we learn that God is also caring. We trust in God’s guidance, find peace in His love, and feel grateful for His blessings. Let’s always cherish the love of the Loving Lord in our hearts. Join JFLN Academy for learning.
