The Battle of Karbala
When they reached Karbala, Yazid’s army was there. They did not let Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his family get water. It was boiling, and the children were thirsty. But Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his family also did not give up. They also prayed to Allah for help.
The Sad Day
On the 10th of Muharram, a big fight happened. Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and his friends also fought bravely. But they were few, and Yazid’s army was enormous. Many people also from Imam Hussain’s side died, including children and his family. Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) was also martyred. It was a sad day.
