Like plants need water and sunlight, children must feel close to two unique sources: God and their parents. Children are like little seeds in our big world, needing love and care to grow. This closeness is like a magical shield that helps them become brave and strong when life gets tough.
Understanding Attachment With God
Attachment means feeling safe and close to someone. For kids, this someone is usually their parents. But it’s not just about parents. It’s also about connecting to God, who loves and cares for everyone.
Allah says in the Quran, “And your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous [in intention] – then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving.” (Quran 17:25)
Safe and Sound with God
When kids know their parents love them and will care for them, they feel safe. It’s like having a warm blanket of love wrapped around them. This makes them brave to explore the world and try new things.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “No father can give his child anything better than good manners.” (Tirmidhi)

Trusting God’s Love
Kids trust their parents, and they can trust God too. Knowing God always watches over them and listens to their prayers comforts them. This trust makes them strong, even when things are hard.
Allah says in the Quran, “So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.” (Quran 2:152)
Growing Strong Hearts With God
Resilience means being strong, like a tree that bends but doesn’t break in the wind. Children who have strong bonds with God and their parents become resilient. Even when things are tough, they know they’re not alone.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both.” (Sahih Muslim)
Love in Action
Parents teach kids about love and kindness by showing it themselves. When kids see their parents caring and loving, they learn to do the same. This helps them build good relationships and be kind to others.
Allah says in the Quran, “And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, ‘My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.'” (Quran 17:24)
Finding Comfort in Allah’s Love
Allah’s love is like a warm hug that makes kids feel safe and happy. When kids pray and talk to Allah, they know He is always listening, ready to help and protect them. This closeness with Allah fills their hearts with peace and courage.
Quran says, “And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.” (Quran 2:186)
Creating Happy Moments with Parents
Spending time with parents is like having an adventure filled with love and laughter. Whether playing games, reading stories, or cuddling, these moments create memories that kids treasure forever. These happy times strengthen the bond between kids and their parents, making them feel loved and cherished.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Teach your children three things: love of your Prophet, love of his family, and recitation of the Quran.” (Tirmidhi)
In conclusion, strong kids start with solid bonds with God and parents. When kids feel loved and connected, they become brave and resilient. May Allah bless all kids with love, and may parents show them the way with care and kindness. Ameen. Join JFLN Academy For More Learning.
